Welcome to the Newbies Guide to Monster Drops, this guide is ment for people who just joined MapleStory and dont know the values of the items monsters can drop.

General Usefull Drops,
Potions and Food,
Potions are there to heal your HP, MP, cure you from any deseases or boost your stats.
HP Recovery
Red Potion, recovers 50HP Orange Potion, recovers 150HP White Potion, recovers 300HP Apple, recovers around 30HP Egg, recovers around 50HP Meat, recovers around 100HP Fried Chicken, recovers around 200HP Hamburger, recovers around 300HP Hot Dog, recovers around 300HP Pizza, recovers around 400HP Hot Dog Supreme, recovers around 500HP Unagi, recovers around 1000HP
MP Recovery
Blue Potion, recovers 100MP Mana Elixer, recovers 300MP Orange, recovers around 50MP Lemon, recovers around 150MP Salad, recovers around 200MP Pure Water, recovers around 800MP
HP and MP Recovery
Cake, recovers 100 HP and MP Elixer, recovers 50% HP and MP Power Elixer, recovers all HP and MP
Medicine
Antidote, cures poison Eye Medicine, cures state of darkness Health Medicine, cures state of weakness Holy Water, removes a curse or seal
Stat Boosters
Dex. Potion, Adds 5 points to your avoidability for 3 min. Magic Potion, Adds 5 points to your magic attack for 3 min. Sniper Potion, Adds 5 points to your accuracy for 3 min. Speed Potion, Adds 3 points to your speed for 3 min. Warrior Potion, Adds 5 points to your attack for 3 min. Wizard Potion, Adds 10 points to your magic attack for 3 min. Drake's Blood, Adds 8 points to your attack for 5 min. Drake's Meat, Adds 10 points to your weapon defence for 3 min. Fairy's Honey, Adds 10 points to your avoidability for 5 min. Sap of Ancient Tree, Adds 10 points to your magic attack for 5 min.

Scrolls,
100% scroll 60% scroll 10% scroll
Scrolls are REALY rare drops and are realy valuable in the game, I dont know the value of every scroll on its own, but I can give you an estimate;
100% scrolls are buyable in the potion shops of the towns, so they are the least rare and usualy only add 1 stat, but always works
60% scrolls are more rare, they usualy increase a stat by 2 or more, but only have a 60% success rate. these go from 50.000-200.000 mesos, depending on wich one it is.
10% scrolls add the best amount of stats, but has a realy low success rate, these go from 30.000-100.000 mesos.
If you want to be sure about its price, ask on a fan forum, like Sleepywood.net.

Ores,
Ores are things you should definatly collect, because later on in the game you will need refined gems and metals to upgrade/create new equipment, but if you only have 1 character, they might take up too much space, I suggest you make a second character and store them there, or sell them to others in the game, more about the last later on in the game.
Adamantium Ore Amethyst Ore AquaMarine Ore Emerald Ore Mithril Ore Opal Ore Orihalcon Ore Sapphire Ore Silver Ore Topaz Ore These go for around 900-1500 mesos.
Bronze Ore Steel Ore 1500-2000 mesos.
Garnet Ore 2000-3000 mesos.
Diamond Ore3000-5000 mesos.
Gold Ore 5000-10000 mesos.
Black Crystal Ore 8000-15000 mesos.

Trowing Stars,
Some monsters can drop trowing stars, wich are very valuable in the game!
Subi Stars, 15 attack These are the plain ones you can buy at the store. 500 mesos. Costs 150 mesos to recharge.
Wolbi Stars, 17 attack These somewhat better then the store ones, and about 30.000-50.000 mesos. Costs 200 mesos to recharge, can carry 500 in a pack.
Snowballs, 17 attack These are quite funny, same attack as the Wolbi, but you can carry 800. Recharging costs 800 mesos. Price goes around 175.000 mesos.
Mokbi, 19 attack Can carry 700 max, and recharging costs 350 mesos. Price goes around 150.000 mesos.
Wooden Top, 19 attack Funny looking and quite strong can carry 800 max, and recharging costs 800 mesos. Price goes around 100.000-150.000 mesos.
Kumbi, 21 attack Can carry 500 max, and recharging costs 350 mesos. Price goes around 350.000 mesos.
Icycles, 21 attack Can carry 800 max, and recharging costs 800 mesos. Price goes around 500.000 mesos.
Tobi, 23 attack Can carry 1000 max, and recharging costs unknown. Price goes around 2.000.000 mesos.
Steely, 25 attack Can carry 1000 max, and recharging costs 700 mesos. Price goes around 5.500.000 mesos.
Ilbi, 27 attack Can carry 800 max, and recharging costs unknown. Price unknown.

Quest Items,
On Maple Island there are a couple of quests to do, Get the Letter to the Chief and Bigg's Collection of Items.
Get the Letter to the Chief
Move past the hunting ground to where the road splits in two, and you'll find Maria on top of the ladder. Talk to her, and she'll ask you to do him a favor and send a letter she wrote to Chief Lucas of Amherst. Take the letter and use the portal on the northeast part of the map and head east for Amherst. Lucas will be standing right in front of the department store. Talk to him, and he'll take the letter from you and instead give you the reply letter for Maria. Take that letter to Maria, and you'll receive EXP and a hat or headband.

Bigg's Collection of Items
Biggs is a sailor standing on a platform in Southperry, he wants you to collect the following items;
  • Blue Snail Shell x30
  • Orange Mushroom Top x10
In return he will give you a weapon,
75% chance Razorheaded Dagger
25% chance Fruits Dagger

Victoria Island

Quest Items,
I'll list the items you should be collecting for quests on this island. If you can't get these items yourself, you can go a public place like perion ch1 to buy them, but be warned they might ask tomuch!
Fixing "Blackbull's" House lv.0 - Perion.
  • Tree Branch x30
  • Fire Wood x50 If your buying these, Don't pay more then 3000 mesos.
Reward;
90% chance Steel Shield
10% chance Red Triangular Shield worth 40.000-60.000 mesos.

Maya and the Weird Medicine lv.15 - Henesys.
  • Weird Medicine -> Teo (Lith Harbor)
    • Glittering Stone -> Maria (Perion)
      • Squishy Liquid x50

      • Octopus Leg x20 Don't pay more then 2000 mesos.

  • Processed_wood x5 Can be made in perion with 10 firewoods or 50 tree branches.

Nella & Kerning City Citizen's Request 1(c) lv.15 - Kerning City.
  • Octopus Leg x100 Don't pay more then 8000 mesos.
  • Pure Water x1 Can be bought deep inside the dungeon, don't pay more then 2000 mesos.
Reward;
A lv.20 glove depending on your job. Worth 15.000-20.000 mesos.

Luke the Security Guy lv.15 - Henesys (Dungeon Entrence).
  • Jr. Necki's Skin x100 Don't pay more then 10.000 mesos.
  • Stirge Wing x10 Don't pay more then 3000 mesos.
  • Salad x1 Don't pay more then 2000 mesos.
Reward; worth 10x that of the ore.
A random refined gem exept black crystal.

Pia and the Blue Mushroom lv.20 - Henesys (Mushroom Park).
  • Blue Mushroom Top x60 Don't pay more then 5000 mesos.
  • Green Mushroom Top x60 Don't pay more then 5000 mesos.
Reward;
A random Scroll for Armor Defence, Value strongly varies depending on its success rate and what kind of armor.

Alex the Runaway Kid lv.20 - Kerning City Roof-top.
  • Old Gold Watch -> Stan, the chief of Henesys
    • Evil Eye's Tail x50 Don't pay more then 5000 mesos.
    • Pig Ribbon x100 Don't pay more then 5000 mesos.
    • Then you need to pick the right sentences to convince him of giving the watch.
Reward;
Random lv.25-30 Earrings. lv.20 ones cost around 10.000-15.000 mesos, lv.25 ones 25.000-30.000 mesos.
Gold Rings Red Cross Earrings Lightning Earrings Emerald Earrings Star Earrings

Jane and the Wild Boar lv.25 - Lith Harbor.
  • Wild Boar's Tooth x100 Don't pay more then 7000 mesos.
  • Horny Mushroom Top x120 Don't pay more then 10.000 mesos.
Reward;
A random scroll for weapon attack, Value strongly varies depending on its success rate and what kind of weapon.

Arwen and the Glass Shoes lv.25 - Ellinia.
I suggest you only do this quest if your a magician or found the shoe yourself, it's realy hard to sell the rewards.
  • Glass Shoes Droped only by fire boar, Don't pay more then 200.000 mesos.
Reward;
First time; Piece of Ice Worth around 200.000-300.000 mesos. Can be used to make a wand. Also needed for a quest later on.
Second time; Fairy's Wing Worth around 200.000-300.000 mesos. Can be used to make a wand or staff.
